rockin reads

It just so happens that I bought a paperback copy of Bridget Jones's Diary last week - along with some other good books that I shouldn't have purchased (my shelves are too stuffed). I realized that I although I have seen the movie a number of times, I had never read the book. The horror!

And seriously, who rocks harder than Bridget Jones?

Turns out, my shopping binge came at the perfect time - for me and for you!
  1. From Head to Tale will be hosting a read along of Bridget Jones's Diary starting October 5, 2015.
  2. From Head to Tale will also be hosting a watch-along of the romantic comedy-drama television series, My Lovely Sam Soon, starting October 3, 2015 (via Hulu & Drama Fever). It is often referred to as the Korean version of Bridget Jones's Diary
  3. It has just been confirmed that a new Bridget Jones movie will start filming on October 2, 2015. "Grab your best reindeer jumper: Bridget Jones is officially coming back!"
To keeping the good times rolling, I am giving away surprise box of romance books - including a copy of Bridget Jones's Diary - to one randomly selected United States winner. Enter for a chance to win it via the rafflecopter widget below.

Be sure to drop by on October 3 and starting watching My Lovely Sam Soon with us. Don't let the subtitles scare you. Check out the trailer below.

Hulu - "Kim Sam Soon is an unemployed patissier who was recently dumped by her cheating boyfriend. Hyun Jin Heon is an arrogant restaurant owner. Things become complicated when he proposes that they begin a fake relationship to get his mother off his back." (16 episodes)

  1. I would love to see any of Marjorie Liu's books brought to the screen. I think they are so rich and the locales are exotic, so it'd make a very pretty movie.

  2. I actually haven't read or seen Bridget Jones's Diary, I will have to correct that :)
I'd like to see KMM's Fever series as movies, if they were done well lol

  3. Love your blog! I think i'd love for J. D. Robb's In Death Series to make it to the movies or maybe Starz.

  4. I think that The This Man Trilogy should be a movie. There is enough content in the three books to make a movie out of the trilogy :) It is a romance that is very adult but still sticks to the romance story line :)

  8. I'm with Kristi. I'd love to see an Eve Dallas book made into a movie, but they're more mystery than romance.

  9. I think Harvest Moon by Lisa Kessler should be adapted to the screen. It would be easily adaptable, would include werewolves, which are popular now, but would also include boxing, medical emergencies, and filming both on the mainland and in Hawaii.
